About ME
Hi there! My name is Brittany Clair -- I'm a researcher and writer living in the Midcoast region of Maine with my husband, son, daughter, and two dogs, Rowdy and Bear.
I graduated from Kenyon College, a small liberal-arts school in Ohio, and taught high school history in Cleveland before attending graduate school at The University of Cincinnati. I have an M.A. and a Ph.D. in history, and specialize in the history of medicine. I worked as a professor teaching various medical history courses before I decided to turn my full attention to writing. My newest book, Carrying On, explores the history and science of pregnancy care in America, and my first book, Rest Uneasy, is a history of SIDS.
You can find some of my shorter work here (in the blog tab), as well as over at Lucie's List, where I'm a staff writer.
